Jiangsu strives to reduce the number of iron and steel enterprises to about 20 till 2020

Recently, Jiangsu Provincial People's Government Office published work plan on transformation, upgrading, optimization of provincial iron and steel industry. The Plan clearly puts forward that the proportion of riverside and seaside iron and steel smelting capacity will be optimized and adjusted from current 7:3 to 5:5 in the provincial iron and steel industry by 2025. Jiangsu strives to reduce the number of provincial iron and steel enterprises from current 45 to about 20 till 2020, making the crude steel capacity of top5 enterprises account for 70% of the province's sum.
