Major polluting industries in Zhengzhou may be exempt from production restriction

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of Zhengzhou government recently launched the special pollution abatement for 2019 in order to speed up the green development and industrial transformation of the city.
According to the pollution abatement plan, industrial enterprises that realize ultra-low emission of smoke and avoid fugitive emission before late October this year will be exempt from production restriction during autumn and winter and may face less strict scrutiny during heavy pollution weather after being reviewed and approved by relevant departments. Some of the enterprises may even be awarded government funds.
The special pollution abatement focuses on the realization of ultra-low emission of smoke, which targets major polluting industries (including power, iron and steel, nonferrous metals, carbon, refractory, casting and so on) as well as the reduction of fugitive emission, which targets all industries city wide.
