Masteel to produce 15.48 million tons of crude steel in 2019

Maanshan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. ("Masteel") announced in the evening of March 21 that its operating revenue in 2018 reached 81.952 billion yuan, up by 11.91% YOY. The net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company was 5.943 billion yuan, up by 43.94% YOY.
It is reported that Magang (Group) Holding Co., Ltd. ("Magang") produced 18 million tons of pig iron, 19.64 million tons of crude steel and 18.7 million tons of finished steel in 2018, basically unchanged from the previous year.
In addition, Magang plans to produce 17.72 million tons of pig iron, 19.21 million tons of crude steel and 18.2 million tons of finished steel in 2019, which is 1.56%, 2.19% and 2.67% lower than the annual output in 2018 respectively. Among them, Masteel plans to produce 14.33 million tons of pig iron, 15.48 million tons of crude steel and 14.45 million tons of finished steel, an increase of 1.70%, 1.18% and 1.05% compared with the annual output in 2018 respectively.
