Inner Mongolia completes steel industry de-capacity task in 13th Five-Year Plan ahead of schedule

Recently, it was learned from the press conference held by Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region People's Government that in 2018, by marketization and rule of law, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region managed to resolve excess capacity. In Inner Mongolia, 11.1 million ton of coal production capacity and 2 enterprises with backward steel production capacity were eliminated; 118,000 kilowatts of small thermal power were shut down; the replacement 1 million tons of steel capacity was completed. The de-capacity task of steel and coal industry in 13th Five-Year Plan were completed ahead of schedule.
