1. Market Highlights
In January, mainstream prices for Chinese gallium metal 99.99%min went up firstly and then went down. After decreasing to a low level in late December, prices rebounded in early January. However, with the coming of the Spring Festival holiday in late January, buyers finished purchasing in the first half of January and left the market successively, leading to scarce enquiries and transactions on spot market. As a result, mainstream prices for gallium metal 99.99%min dropped under pressure. Market participants predicted that mainstream prices for the material would edge down in February as demand is unlikely to increase substantially.
