Chinese stainless steel prices went down further obviously during this month mainly because of lower raw material costs and weak demand from downstream industries. Expecting the price to drop further, customers without urgent need for materials were mostly taking a cautious attitude and placing orders sparingly. Traders were not confident of the market outlook and refused to build large stockpiles. Insiders think the market would continue to be quiet in the coming month.
