GACC adjusts supervision pattern on some imported minerals

General Administration of Customs of China (GACC) announced on October 19 that it decided to adjust supervision pattern on some imported minerals in order to improve business environment and reduce time of customs clearance. Details of the adjustment of supervision pattern are as follows.
Passing customs first means that imported minerals can be delivered outside supervision place of customs if they meet related requirements after inspection and quarantine; inspection later means that customs inspect imported minerals at labs and issue certificates after these products are delivered outside supervision place of customs.
The supervision pattern can be adopted on imported iron ore, manganese ore, chrome ore, lead ore and lead concentrate, zinc ore and zinc concentrate.
Companies can sell and use imported minerals after customs finish conformity assessment and issue certificates.
The announcement takes effect from the date when it is released.
