1. Market Highlights
Domestically, prices for low grade silicon metal began to rise sharply in North China in September due to the shortage of spot products, while the demand for high grade silicon metal was still limited. The transactions for high grade silicon metal have been sluggish by the end of September, but prices were unchanged this month supported by the costs. In terms of the export market, foreign users showed little willingness to purchase in September due to high inventories, so the export market of silicon metal was dim.
