CHALCO Guizhou Branch closes carbon production line

The last purification draught fan of CHALCO Guihzou Branch ceased operation on September 26, which meant that 250,000tpy anode production line operating for nearly 40 years was closed forever.
In order to meet the development need of Guiyang city, CHALCO Guihzou Branch which is at urban area began to move from the urban region into the industrial park and conduct upgrade and transformation. With the shutdown of alumina and primary aluminum production lines, the company sped up production halt. Installing line and anode production line were closed in June and molding production line was out of operation in September, and calcination and roasting production lines were shut down on September 26. To date, the company's carbon production lines were all closed after cathode and anode products of 5.2715 million tons in total were produced.
