AM Stats: China's primary aluminum output up by 2.7% MOM in Sep

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 11 Oct 18 - According to Asian Metal Database, China produced about 3.12 million tonnes of primary aluminum in September 2018, up by 2.7% MOM and around 3.3% YOY. In the first nine months of 2018, China's primary aluminum output totaled around 26.92 million tonnes, down by about 2.8% compared with the same period of 2017.
Based on the data, the primary aluminum output in Shandong remained unchanged month on month at 758,000t in September; the output in Xinjiang also kept stable at 529,000t in the month; the output in Inner Mongolia increased by 2.3% MOM to about 370,000 tonnes, while that in Henan and Gansu declined by 0.9% and 2.3% MOM to 219,000t and 214,000t respectively. The output in Sichuan rose sharply by 153% MOM to 111,400t in the month.
