Southwest Copper breaks through in 4N tellurium research

Recently, the 4N tellurium technical research of copper telluride extraction and preparation carried out by Southwest Copper was listed as a key Chinese copper technical project of 2018 and met technical standards for small experiment.
In order to improve technical data, the company kept optimizing process plans by adopting different ideas and finally integrated oxidation pretreatment, alkaline leaching, purification, neutralization, electrodeposition, dressing and casting by adopting university-industry collaboration.
Up to date, the leaching rate of tellurium is about 95%, 5% higher than required, and the recovery rate of tellurium is about 91%, 16% higher than required. The grade of tellurium ingot reaches 99.99758%, meeting the requirements for 4N tellurium products specified in YS/T222-2010 tellurium ingot standards.
