MEE launches new inspections in water sources

Ministry of Ecology and Environment (MEE) launched the second round of inspections on environmental protection in centralized drinking water sources on 1 September, which will come to an end on 28 September.
622 law enforcement officials will conduct inspections on 6,251 environmental issues found in drinking water sources in nationwide in four batches to verify rectification status.
During the second round of inspections, MEE will carry out inspections on arrangement, implementation and supervision of local governments, urge local governments to accelerate rectification of such issues and carry out acceptance check on updates reported by relevant authorities.
