Dao Er Aluminum to increase bauxite production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 10 Aug 18 - Shanxi Dao Er Aluminum Co., Ltd., with bauxite production capacity of 600,000tpy, plans to increase production in October, a source from the company reported to Asian Metal.
According to the source, they now have two production lines with monthly capacity of 50,000tpy and will build the third line next month. "The monthly capacity will reach 90,000t," said the source, adding that they hold no stock now.
They produced around 500,000t of bauxite in 2017, which may improve to 600,000t this year. The owner mainly produces bauxite Al/Si=5.0 and the price in August is around RMB500/t (USD73/t) Ex-VAT delivered, up by around RMB30/t (USD4/t) compared with the price last month.
Besides, they started production of calcined bauxite Al 65%min from August 1, with daily output of 150t.
In terms of the alumina refinery with annual capacity of 1.2 million tonnes, they are still preparing related licenses.
