Baosteel Desheng optimizes overall planning program

Currently, Baosteel Desheng is working on optimization of overall planning program based on comments made by chairman and officials of China Baowu Steel Group on 1 July, 2018. The planned annual capacity of 5-6 million tonnes would be realized in two steps. The first target of 3.5 million tonnes is expected to be achieved in 2021 and the second target of 6 million tonnes is expected to be achieved in 2027. Covering series 200, series 300, series 400, dual-phase steel, special steel and others, the products could be applied in auto exhaust system, construction, home appliances, kitchen and bathroom products, rail transit, energy and chemical, decoration panel, electronic component and other industries.
The new project plans to construct sintering, blast furnace, steelmaking, hot rolling, pickling and cold rolling production lines, among which steelmaking and hot rolling are expected to start construction by late 2018.
