On July 3rd, Baowu Group began to announce the capacity transferring result of its subordinate companies, Shanghai Baosteel Stainless Steel Co
Shanghai Baosteel Stainless Steel transferred 2.93 million tons of iron capacities and 4 . 55 million tons of steel capacities in total; while Shanghai Meishan Iron & Steel transferred 1 . 18 million tons of iron capacities . Apart from the 8 million tons of iron capacities to be used for other project, all the rest capacities were transferred to Baosteel Zhanjiang Iron & Steel Co . , Ltd . , Wuhan Iron & Steel Group Echeng Iron & Steel Co . , Ltd . and Baosteel Desheng Stainless Steel Co . , Ltd . In particular, Baosteel Desheng was transferred 680,000t of steel capacities.
Baosteel Desheng plans to start building continuous steel casting production lines, which represent an annual capacity of 1 million tons, and hot-rolling steel production lines, which represent an annual capacity of 1.5-1 . 8 million tons, in the second half of 2018.
