    1. Market Highlights

    Chinese market: during the first half of April, tungsten prices moved on with the downward trend which started in March; later, as government environmental inspection group arrived in Jiangxi, local tungsten producers suspended production or cut outputs to various extents. As a result, market players felt optimistic about the market and prices stopped declining and began to move up.

    International market: during the first half of April, the market ran slowly and there were only very few enquiries made; during the latter half of the month, affected by rising prices in the Chinese tungsten market, there were more enquiries made in the international market but buyers were still cautious in making purchases.
