Latin America sees crude steel output of 58.8 million tons from Jan to Nov 2017

Alacero reported on January 28 that in January-November 2017, crude steel output in Latin America was 58.8 million tons, an increase of 7% YOY. Brazil was the largest producer of crude steel in the region, with an output of 31.5 million tons, an increase of 9%, accounting for 54% of the total area; in the same period, the output of steel structure in Latin America was 48.6 million tons, up by 3%; Brazil produced 20.7 million tons and Mexico produced 17.2 million tons, accounting for 43% and 35% respectively.
