Shougang Steel keeps NGO electrical steel prices stable for January production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 28 Dec 17 - Beijing-based Shougang Steel announced to keep its list prices of NGO electrical steel unchanged for January production last week. The price of 50SW800 0.5mm*1,200mm*C is about RMB5,850/t (USD893/t) VAT included.
"Following other producers such Baosteel, WISCO and Ansteel, we also announced to keep NGO electrical steel prices stable," said a source from the company. According to him, NGO electrical steel prices in major markets of China are generally stable at the moment after the continuous decrease in previous months. The current mainstream market price of 50SW800 0.5mm 0.5mm*1,200mm*C from Shougang Steel is around RMB5,900/t (USD900/t) VAT included in Shanghai, stable this month.
There are four production lines of non-grain oriented electrical steel in Shougang Steel which can produce grades of 1,300-250 with a regular monthly output of about 80,000t. "We are under normal production now," he said, adding that they don't have stocks and customers need to place orders beforehand with the lead time of around one month.
