GEM's subsidiary signs supply agreement of lithium ion battery precursor materials

GEM announced on the evening of December 24th that Jingmen GEM New Material Co., Ltd., its wholly-owned subsidiary, signed the Purchasing Contract of Cobaltosic Oxide with Ningde Amperex Technology Limited recently. According to the contract, the purchase volume is 1,200t and specification of the material is large particle size with the period of validity from the day when the contract was signed to January 31st, 2019.
Founded in 2008, Ningde Amperex Technology Limited is the third wholly-owned subsidiary of ATL in China Mainland. ATL supplies mobile power packs to famous electronic enterprises worldwide. As a wholly-owned subsidiary of GEM, Jingmen GEM is the largest manufacturing base related to cycle industry of GEM. Lithium ion battery precursor materials and cathode materials recycled by Jingmen GEM successfully enters famous supply chains in both home and abroad, which makes Jingmen GEM become one of mainstream suppliers of new energy battery raw materials in both home and abroad.
GEM noted that the two sides signed the cooperation agreement and would conduct complete strategy cooperation and large-scale supply in lithium ion battery precursor materials, representing that GEM further consolidates the position of lithium ion battery raw materials in mainstream industry chains of new energy batteries and laying a solid foundation for GEM to become a key supplier of new energy battery materials in the world. It's expected that the cooperation agreement would bring active influences on operating achievements of GEM in the future.
