Wanfeng Auto's subsidiary produces magnesium alloy die castings for NIO ES8

Zhang Yinfeng, Board Director and Secretary of Wanfeng Auto Wheels announced on 19th that two types of large magnesium alloy die castings produced by Wanfang Meridian, its wholly-owned subsidiary, will be used for the assembly of NIO ES8.
Wanfang Meridian designs two types of lightweight products, namely magnesium alloy dashboard framework and front module framework, for NIO ES8 and makes batch production of these products in Shanghai factory. These two types of magnesium alloy die-casting products are produced using die-casting machine of 1,600t and 3,200t respectively and are of 50% lighter than traditional steel structure. Therefore, magnesium usage in single NIO ES8 exceeds 7kg which is closed to that of European and American auto industry.
