Chinese stainless steel prices went up further obviously during this month mainly supported by higher raw material costs and increase in steel mills’ list prices. However, customers could not accept the sharp price increase amid the traditionally low season and the market sales performance continued to be bad. Because of higher purchase cost and weak customer demand, traders were reluctant to build large stockpiles. Insiders think the market will keep quiet in the coming month.
