Chinese stainless steel prices went up obviously during this month mainly supported by higher raw material costs and increase in steel mills’ list prices. Nevertheless, customers without urgent need for materials were still holding a wait-and-see attitude and placing orders sparingly. The market sales performance continued to be bad. Having no confidence in the market outlook, traders refused to build large stockpiles. Insiders suppose the market will remain quiet in the coming month.
