    In June, Chinese ferrosilicon prices continued to rise.Asian Metal CopyrightIn June, Chinese ferrosilicon prices continued to rise.Asian Metal Copyright The operating rate from China’s ferrosilicon industry almost remained unchanged this month and prices for the raw material edged up; moreover, road transportation cost moved up and the spot market continued to see tight supply. Ferrosilicon prices in late June increased by RMB150/t (USD22/t) from early June.

    Meantime, export prices for Chinese ferrosilicon climbed up by USD10/t slightly. As ferrosilicon prices from Chinese producers continued to go up, export prices for the material moved up; in addition, ferrosilicon export prices for some countries remained low, such as Russia; thus, the Chinese ferrosilicon export market saw sparse deals.
