Chinese stainless steel prices went down further in the first two weeks of June on weak customer demand and decrease in steel mills’ list prices, but they rebounded obviously from the third week of this month. As it was still the traditionally low season, demand from downstream customers continued to be weak and the market sales performance did not become better. Traders were not confident of the market outlook and refused to build large stockpiles. Insiders think the market will keep quiet in the coming month.
