GCC makes safeguard measure affirmative final judge of imported iron and flat-rolled products of iron or non-alloy steel

On 15 June 2017, WTO Safeguard Measure Committee published the safeguard measure affirmative final judge submitted by Bahrain representing GCC on 8 June 2017. The executive committee of GCC proposes to make 3-year ad valorem duties of safeguard measures on imported ore and flat-rolled products of iron or non-alloy steel based on CIF prices with the tax rate of 31% in the first year, 28% in the second year and 25% in the third year. The judge was effective on the date when the announcement was issued on the official bulletin of TSAIP. The HS codes of related products are 721070 and 721090. The judge is unsuitable for related products imported from Hong Kong, Macau and developing countries and areas such as Egypt.
