In April, mainstream prices for Chinese gallium metal 99.99%min continued to keep a downward trend, down by RMB50/kg during the whole month. With plants operating normally, the spot market saw increasingly more supply, so gallium metal prices entered a downward cycle of a new round. In early April, branch of CHALCO in Henan plant was forced to suspend production as prices for gallium metal were much lower than the cost; market players believe a new round suspension boom will come soon.
