Chinese stainless steel prices witnessed a downward trend during this month on lower raw material costs and decrease in steel mills’ list prices. Customers without urgent need for materials were expecting the price to go down further and placing orders sparingly. Traders were not confident of the market outlook and refused to build large stockpiles. Insiders think the market will continue to be dim in the coming month on weak customer demand.
