Chamber of Mines of Zambia expects copper output to exceed 800,000t in 2017

Chamber of Mines of Zambia predicted on Mar 8th that Zambian copper output will exceed 800,000t in 2017.
According to reports, Talent Ng'andwe, CEO of Chamber of Mines of Zambia, stated that the output for Zambian copper was 770,000t in 2016, lower than its expectation of 1 million tonnes. However, mining enterprises including Mopani Copper Mine, First Quantum Minerals and NFCA Mining are all building new projects at present which will contribute to the medium and long-term development of Zambia’s mining industry.
