In January, the tungsten market saw both sluggish demand and weak supply, leading to limited deals concluded in the market as well as unchanged prices. As raw material producers consecutively conducted maintenance at the end of 2016 and held back for sales, raw material prices remained firm. Limited by production cost, tungsten carbide powder producers maintained offers stable with cautious attitude to accept orders.
