Vietnam's steel production to rise in 2017

It was reported that the Vietnam Steel Association (VSA) has announced the positive results of Vietnamese steel industry in 2016 recently; moreover, they were keeping optimistic about this year’s prospect of steel industry.
According to the statistics, the steel production in 2016 was 17.5 million tons, up by 16.8% year-on-year; the steel sales volume was 15.3 million tons, up by 23.7% year-on-year.
Meanwhile, the VSA expected the steel production will grow further in 2017 to reach at 19.6 million tons; it will rise by 12% compared with the volume of 2016.
It was attributed to the construction industry, infrastructure and real estate market for stimulating the demand rising of domestic steel market.
