Orient Zirconic Ind Sci & Tech to lift prices for some products

In an announcement released on the evening of 16 February 2017, Guangdong Orient Zirconic Ind Sci & Tech Co., Ltd. declared that, as China’s de-capacity policies have already taken effects and the zirconium industry has seen an overall improvement, and in consideration of its increasing production costs and the supply-demand status in the current market, the company decides to lift prices for some of its products in order to guarantee a smooth operation and better profit margins.
The company will lift further by RMB600/t (USD87.38/t) and RMB2,000/t (USD291/t) for zirconium oxychloride and zirconium dioxide, after the increase of RMB900/t (USD131/t) and RMB2,000/t (USD291/t) for them respectively in last October, and will lift EXW prices for compound zirconia by RMB4,000/t (USD583/t).
Sales of the above three products amounted to about RMB166 million (USD24.17 million) in 2015, and this price lifting will impose some impacts upon the company’s operation revenues in 2017.
