Prices for Chinese gallium metal 99.99%min rose sharply in November with the support of tight supply. The market saw active enquiries early this month. Most traders and investors together with end users had the intention of building stocks, but producers were unwilling to unload the metal with low level of inventories and once raised quotations to RMB1,000-1,100/kg (USD144-158/kg). At the end of the month, offers for the metal inched down. As market demand from end users is expected to hold stable, producers who have suspended production intend to resume operation in Q4 of 2016.
