In September, the Chinese gallium metal 99.99%min market performed steadily. Mainstream prices continued to rise, moving up by RMB20/kg to RMB735-765/kg, and transaction prices in the spot market generally edged up and sat at the high end of this range, the only exception being some of the long-term contracts. With demand flat, larger purchases were still mainly on a monthly or quarterly basis while smaller transactions came through hand-to-mouth purchases. As for exports, consumers with steady demand gradually accepted the slight price rises, with the export market seeing stable transactions.
