In late April, prices of CRC and HGI coil began to fall back after they reached peak levels. In May, prices of CRC recorded a month-on-month markdown of around 15% and those of HGI coil saw a markdown of about 7%, which was influenced by the bad market performance. Participants became to take cautious attitudes towards the coming market. As June is the traditional low season for steel consumption, it is difficult to see a strong demand in the coming month. Insiders predict prices for CRC and HGI coil are likely to come down further in June.
