Influenced by the long holiday for the Spring Festival (on February 8), prices of CRC and HGI coil in Chinese domestic market were on stable trends before and after the holiday. Prices went up in late February influenced by the obvious rebound of steel billet, the raw material of steel products. Prices could hardly rise further in the last week of this month as the demand from downstream consumers remained stagnant. The supply for HGI coil should keep relatively tight in the near future. Insiders predict prices for CRC are likely to come down slightly while those for HGI coil will continue to rise in March.
