Manganese alloy market kept dull in 2015 and the prices remained on the decline. Though manganese alloy producers gradually reduced or suspended production and the market supply relatively reduced, manganese alloy market prices were hard to hold firm with the weakening demand.
Many manganese ore traders left the market in view of the dim manganese alloy market situation and rare purchase activities. Moreover, small manganese ore traders mainly focused on back-to-back business and were reluctant to hold any stocks in hand. Though the prices occasionally increased when the supply was tight at ports, the overall price trend was falling and most users purchased manganese ore from hand to mouth in the year.
