The Parade holiday was approaching and the ferrochrome market was influenced by the environmental detection in August. Many ferrochrome producers suspended or reduced production, but the demand became weaker, so the supply was still adequate. Therefore, ferrochrome market mainstream prices were on the decline in August.
The ports started the traffic control in the middle part of August, so it was hard for the logistics to deliver the chrome ore. In this case, though the prices fell due to the dull market situation early this month, the prices held firm in mid-August. Meanwhile, the market was silent and prices of chrome ore remained stable in late August.
