Many steel mills reduced or suspended production for the environmental detection and the demand became weaker in August. Though some manganese alloy producers left the market for the meager profit, the market supply was still adequate. Therefore, manganese alloy market prices kept falling in August.
Manganese ore traders had to decrease the price for more transaction when the demand became weaker and weaker, so the whole market prices were on the decline in August. However, the prices moved up due to the depreciation of RMB in the middle time of August and the prices fell back for the dull market situation in late August.
