Ferrochrome producers mainly suspended or reduced production to watch the market in view of the continuously falling price trend, so the market supply was reducing. Meanwhile, many ferrochrome producers had no stocks for sale and only produced the material based on orders. Therefore, high carbon ferrochrome prices slightly moved down and low carbon ferrochrome prices remained soft in July.
Foreign chrome ore suppliers had intention to decrease the quotation due to the soft demand in Chinese market, so domestic chrome ore users waited for the price falling and stockpiled few raw materials for consumption and only purchased from hand to mouth. In this case, chrome ore prices held unchanged in July.
