Most Ferrochrome producers who mainly supplied to steel mills directly can still made regular production. Meanwhile, many ferrochrome producers suspended production in the previous two months, but some of them resumed production in the wet season, so the market saw more supply this month. Therefore, the prices of ferrochrome moved down in June.
The stocks of chrome ore were adequate at ports. Though South African and Turkish concentrate chrome ore demand was relatively stronger than others, the prices were still unlikely to hold firm with price downtrend of ferrochrome. As a result, the market mainstream prices of chrome ore declined in June.
