High carbon ferrochrome producers mainly cooperated with regular clients and the market transactions and prices were relatively stable in April. However, low carbon ferrochrome market saw rare transactions and many producers had to decrease the price for more transactions, making the market mainstream prices slightly move down.
South African chrome ore market prices held firm due to the falling quotations from foreign suppliers, but domestic users were mainly cautious about purchase. Therefore, the market prices held stable in April. Meanwhile, Turkish chrome ore demand remained weak and the purchase activities were limited, making the prices sharply fall in April.
