Prices of CRC and HGI coil began to show signs of increasing in the middle of December, which was influenced by the relatively tight supply and the price rise of raw materials such as steel billet. The sales performance for most popular grades was better but the sales for the entire market failed to see obvious improvement. Steel mills’ delivery for materials was not as fast as expected and traders were active in lifting offers even though the demand from automobile industry did not become strong enough. Insiders predict prices for CRC and HGI coil will continue on the upward trend in the first half of January and gradually come down later.
