During November, both the Chinese and international cadmium markets remained depressed with sluggish demand. In the early part of the month, some producers from South China undersold cadmium ingots, causing prices to move down. By mid-November, Indian purchasers were more active in making purchases in the European market, so the Chinese market witnessed an increase in import prices for European cadmium rod. In late November, Chinese producers of cadmium ingots claimed they were seeing more enquiries and orders, and some of them started to stock up on materials with the intention of raising their prices, so it is expected that prices will move up in early December.
