The overseas and domestic antimony markets remained desolate during October with lackluster demand and limited transactions. Producers adopted aggressive pricing strategies to stimulate sales and thus free up some cash, causing a significant drop in the prices of antimony concentrate/ingots and antimony trioxide. Many producers chose to scale down their output or stop production altogether after being unable to make ends meet. Meanwhile, downstream consumers had a largely bearish opinion of the market, so they mainly stood on the sidelines, their purchasing minimal at best.
