In October, the cadmium market both at home and abroad continued to be sluggish with scant demand. However, producers were operating at low capacity with most claiming that the current price was languishing at a low level. Fearing they might suffer losses if prices were lowered any further, they withdrew from competing over offers. The market was locked in a stalemate between suppliers and consumers. Prices for cadmium ingots and cadmium oxide remained stable this month.
