Steel plate prices declined in most domestic markets during the month, mainly because of the poor market performance, as well as traders’ pessimistic attitude. Mills either closed for facility maintenance or went bankrupt, heightening the cautiousness among market participants. Besides, with the weather getting colder, demand from downstream industries in North China shrank dramatically. Insiders predict another price decline in December.
