Iron market continued moving downward in October in China with demand still weak from downstream casting industries. Most iron producers faced higher inventory after the seven-day holiday in early October and their sales pressure kept increasing due to large output and poor sales. Major producers were trying to maintain their normal production and they kept lowering sales prices to try to release stocks. Some small sized producers cut operation or even halted operation, but in the rest of the year, the market still sees little chance of recovering yet and iron price may keep decreasing in the near future.
