Section steel prices showed a downward trend in major Chinese cities this month, with downstream demand remaining weak. Although H-beam steel prices in Shanghai increased to some extent, supported by the low market inventory, the sales performance for most local traders was unsatisfactory. Raw material prices were still on the decline and most domestic traders were pessimistic about the market prospects. Therefore, insiders believe that Chinese section steel prices will maintain the downward trend next month.
