Because of upward raw material costs, prices of most Chinese stainless steel products went up slightly during this month. However, as demand from customers remained weak, the market sales performance continued to be bad. Downstream customers were still struggling amid the gloomy economy and traders refused to hold large stocks to avoid risks. Insiders do not predict the market will improve in the following month with the arrival of low season.
