BEIJING (Asian Metal) 30 Oct 15 - Welded pipe prices show a stable trend in Singapore at this moment, while the market runs slowly with downstream demand remaining weak. The mainstream price of welded pipe Φ114.3mm*3.75mm is SGD575-596/t (USD410-425/t). Insiders foresee a quiet welded pipe market in following several weeks.
A trader in Singapore reveals to Asian Metal that the local price of welded pipe ASTM A53 Φ114.3mm*3.75mm is SGD582/t (USD415/t), the same as that of last week.
The source tells Asian Metal that the demand from local end users hasn’t shown any signs of becoming stronger since the beginning of this month. According to him, downstream oil transportation and construction industries have been developing quite slowly since Q3 and they are unlikely to witness any improvement in the remaining time of this year. With a small weekly sales volume of 20-30t against 50t during the corresponding period of last year, he has no confidence in the market outlook.
